From product list to filed reports
You send a product list and answer questions on one call. We do the supplier chasing, the grouping and the filing, and you approve the data before anything is submitted.
The five steps
-
Scope Check
Day 1 call, summary on day 2A 45-minute call about what you sell, what it's made of, who makes it and where it ships. The next business day you get a one-page Scope Summary: each product group, whether it's likely in scope in each state, and why, with the rule cited.
It ends with a fixed quote. If the answer is "nothing to file," that's the answer, and the summary is your record of how you got there.
-
Grouping
Days 2 to 3Before any data entry, we group products that differ only by color, size or finish and share the same PFAS, function and concentration range. Identical components, like a zipper used across a line, are reported once.
A 38-SKU outerwear line often becomes 8 or 9 entries. Grouping first is the biggest single saving in time and in filing size.
-
Supplier requests
Usually 2 to 4 weeksOne request per supplier and material, naming the exact fabric or part code. The easy answer comes first: if there's no intentionally added PFAS, a one-line signed declaration is enough. If there is, we ask for the chemical, its function and a concentration range.
Requests go out in English, Chinese or Vietnamese, from your domain or with your buyer copied, because suppliers answer customers.
-
Your approval
One reviewYou see the full data set in plain language: every product group, component, chemical, function and range, plus anything still unknown. We double-check every CAS number and range by hand.
Nothing is submitted until you reply "approved for filing" in writing.

Filing and the evidence pack
Within 10 business days of answersWe submit through our consultant account where a state allows it (Minnesota's PRISM does), or walk you through submitting it in your own account where it doesn't. You pay state fees directly in your account.
Then you get the evidence pack, and every upcoming date goes on both our calendars.
A typical month
Supplier replies set the pace. Everything else fits around them.
Follow-ups: day 6 nudge, day 10 reminder, day 17 final request, day 24 your buyer steps in. Day 31 is when we file what's known and log the rest as open.
Illustrative. We file within 10 business days of having supplier answers; a quiet supplier stretches the orange bar, not the rest.
Why grouping is the biggest saving
States let you report products that differ only by color, size or finish as one entry, as long as the PFAS, its function and its concentration range match. Try it on an example catalog.
When a supplier stays quiet
Most of the calendar time in a filing is waiting on suppliers. The schedule above keeps it moving and builds your written record as it goes.
If a supplier still hasn't answered by the filing date, we file what's known, mark the rest as unknown where the state's rules allow it, and keep chasing for your next update. Minnesota said it would accept the data collected to date for its first cycle, provided the follow-up is documented.
What we need from you
- A product or SKU export (Shopify, Amazon or a spreadsheet is fine)
- Supplier contact emails for each fabric, coating, wax or component
- Any declarations, safety data sheets or test reports you already have
- The states you ship to, or permission to check your shipping settings
- About an hour: the Scope Check call and one data review
What you get
- A Scope Summary by product and state, with the rules cited
- Filed reports and confirmations for each state
- An evidence pack: what was filed, every supplier request and reply, and open items
- Your next dates for every state, on your calendar
- A copy of everything, which we also keep for at least five years
Where we stop
We prepare and file reports. We don't give legal opinions, and we'll say plainly when a question needs one.
- We tell you what each rule's text says and how products like yours are typically grouped.
- We don't tell you that a product is legally outside a law, or which exemption you can rely on.
- We don't make business decisions for you, like whether to keep selling in a state with a high filing fee.
- When a question needs an attorney, we write up the facts so your counsel's time is short.

One call, a written answer for every state the next business day, and a fixed quote. The $250 is credited toward your filing.
