PFAS Desk
We get the answers from your suppliers once and file them in every state you sell in, with the written record to show for it.
Filing care
Flat, published prices. Built for small outdoor, apparel, footwear, ski wax and cookware brands. Not legal advice.
Every state asks which PFAS is in which part, what it does and how much is there. Your fabric mill or wax supplier holds that answer, and the first request usually goes unanswered.
We send one request per supplier and material, in their language, and follow up on a fixed schedule with your buyer copied. Every request, reply and silence goes into the log. If a state ever asks how you got your data, the log is your answer.
We work with brands that make rain shells, boots, packs and tents, ski and bike wax, cookware and home textiles.
Request sent in Vietnamese, with a two-minute answer form and a one-line "no PFAS" declaration to sign if it applies.
Reminder, asking them to forward it to whoever handles chemical compliance.
Final request. An unanswered material gets reported as unknown, and the log records that we asked.
Your buyer follows up using a script we wrote. Suppliers answer customers.
Reply: side-chain fluorinated water repellent (C6), 1,000 to 5,000 ppm, on the outer face only.
Grouped and filed. Six jacket SKUs reported as one entry in Minnesota, Washington and Connecticut.
Four states want a report or notice from you. More ban the product outright. Pick a product type to see which is which.
Rules as of Oct 15, 2026, for products with intentionally added PFAS. Summary only, not legal advice. Details and sources in the state guide.
Send your product list. We learn your materials, suppliers and where you ship, then send a one-page answer for each state with a fixed quote.
Products that differ only by color, size or finish become one entry. A 38-SKU line is often 8 or 9 entries.
The schedule above, run for every supplier and material, until we have an answer or a documented silence.
You see every product group, chemical and concentration range before anything is submitted. Nothing goes to a state without your written approval.
We submit each report and send your evidence pack: what was filed, every supplier response, open items and your next dates.
Each state's own fee is separate, paid by you to the state.

Usually, yes. These laws look at whose brand is on the product. If your brand is on it and it's sold in the state, the duty typically sits with you, not your factory. If the maker has no US presence, the importer or first US distributor is usually responsible.
Possibly very little. What matters is having it in writing: a signed supplier declaration for each material. A Scope Check confirms where you stand and gives you the paper trail that retailers with PFAS policies ask for.
File as soon as you can, with a record of your efforts to get supplier information. Minnesota's penalty statute caps administrative penalties at $25,000 per inspection and generally requires a penalty to be forgiven once the violation is corrected, unless it's repeated or serious. No. We prepare and file reports and tell you what the rules say. Anything that needs a legal opinion, we flag for your attorney, and we're glad to work alongside them.
